The updated website of Hivos (Humanistisch Instituut voor Ontwikkelingssamenwerking) makes extensive use of the personal/community extensions, developed by Contactivity bv. The personal extension includes the following functions: user profiles, blog, notification and (social) bookmarking, personalized homepage with widgets and private messaging. The community extension includes: a member directory, integration with YouTube (Zend Gdata library) and Flickr, a function to import and invite new users, social networks, jabber integration for site reports (user registration, confirmation). In addition, a payment gateway extension has been developed to allow Dutch users to make donations via the Dutch banking system iDEAL. The site makes extensive use of the objectrelationbrowse datatype.
Hachette Filipacchi Media chose eZ publish 4.0 as the content management platform for the Charlie's Choice website. Charlie's Choice is a free, daily email newsletter and web archive with information about fashion, beauty, gadgets, culture and travel. The site features personalized pages, integration with an external mailing system (Emailvision), automated newsletter generation and integration with an external ad management application. Hachette Filipacchi Media is the largest magazine publisher in the world. In the Netherlands, Hachette Filipacchi Media publishes Elle, Ellgirl, Quote, TopSante, and several other publications.
The Theatre Institute was looking for a mid-sized long term technical partner for the implementation of an eZ publish-based content management system. By combining their services, Myxt and Contactivity were able to comply with the requirements within a strict time-frame. The website has been developed within a period of 6 weeks, following the formulation of the user requirement specifications. This multilingual website includes a customized webshop, and makes extensive use of the object relation browse datatype to allow for the management of the homepage and landing pages.
UNESCO-IHE is an international institute for water education in Delft, the Netherlands. The website makes extensive use of the objectrelationbrowse datatype developed by Contactivity to allow site editors to customize the landing pages and folder listings. In addition, a new datatype has been developed to merge eZ publish user profiles with information from an external staff database.
The Broker offers knowledge of global development issues, especially in the fields of economics, human security, governance and science and technology. The Broker aims to contribute to evidence-based policy making and action by encouraging exchanges between knowledge produces and development professionals. The Broker, together with a printed version of the web magazine is published bimonthly by International Development Publications.
MicroNed is a network of the Dutch Development Finance Organisations Cordaid, Hivos, ICCO and Oxfam Novib. It was created in 2006 to cooperate on a structural basis with respect to the establishment of a specialised sector approach for microfinance.
The Institute of Social Studies (ISS) in The Hague, the Netherlands is an international graduate school of policy-oriented critical social science. It brings together students and teachers from the developing and developed countries in a European environment. ISS does research, teaching and public service in the field of development studies and international cooperation. The website retrieves much of its content from external databases.
Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe (HCME) chose the eZ publish content management system for the renewal of its European, Middle Eastern and African websites. The websites feature five languages, integration with a dealer locator in Japan, Google search, integration with a mailing system and an extranet for dealers. Contactivity developed the content management system, under the project management by Agency.com.
The LabforCulture.org portal is an initiative of the European Cultural Foundation (ECF). and facilitates cultural dialogue, exchange and cooperation across physical, cultural and imaginative borders between 48 countries in the broader Europe and beyond. LabforCulture.org is a fully interactive portal and features multiple languages, a personalised space (MyLabforCulture), integration with an external search engine (Lucene), community groups, blogs, forums and tools to add and manage new content.
Capacity.org is a joint project of the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM), SNV Netherlands Development Organisation and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Capacity.org is a multilingual website where practitioners and policy makers can get involved in the development of the field of capacity development. The members of this growing community of practice are able to share their experience and draw from the knowledge of others for more effective capacity development practice on the ground. Readers can sign up to receive regular email newsletters at http://www.capacity.org in three languages.
ICTUpdate is bimonthly, bilingual observatory on information and communication technologies relevant to agricultural and rural development in Africa Caribbean and Pacific countries ACP. Published by CTA (Wageningen, the Netherlands) each issue of ICT Update focuses on a specific theme relevant African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries.
This portal site contains news and information, advice, research and training, on low-cost water supply and sanitation in developing countries. IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre (IRC) facilitates the sharing, promotion and use of knowledge so that governments, professionals and organisations can better support poor men, women and children in developing countries to obtain water and sanitation services they will use and maintain.
Civil Society Building Network is a platform for exchange of knowledge, with mostly unique content provided by network members. Members can share their stories and experiences, or browse about for case studies, lessons, research or relevant events. This initaitive is supported by HIVOD and ISS.

This fully bi-lingual site has been developed by Contactivity on basis of eZ publish version 3.4. The content module has been extended to allow members to upload articles, documents, links and events. Notifications and bookmarks have been made available on the frontend. Members can update their own profile and view profiles of other members in the member directory.
